Product Updates: Week 6

This week brings major mobile app improvements as we've brought key desktop features to your phone—including snippets, copy/paste, and showing reassignments. We're also and adding transparency to AI responses so you can see exactly where information comes from and edit the source directly.

Here's what's new in RentEngine.

Mobile App Improvements

We've brought several powerful desktop features to the mobile app, making it easier to manage prospects and showings on the go.

Snippets

You can now access your saved snippets by long-pressing the forward slash key when composing a message in the Command Center. Use your pre-written responses without switching to desktop.

Copy & Paste

Long-press any message (hold down on the message) to copy and paste text. This is useful for sharing addresses, showing instructions, or other information across conversations.

Push Notifications for Showing Pending Requests

When a showing request needs approval, you'll now get an instant push notification from the RentEngine app. This ensures you can respond quickly even when you're away from your desk, reducing response times for time-sensitive showing requests.

Search Lockboxes by Notes

You can now search by "notes" in the lockboxes tab, making it faster to find specific properties or lockbox details. This is particularly useful when you've added custom identifiers or location details in the notes field.

Reassign Showings

Click on any showing in the showing calendar and press the reassign button to reassign a showing to a different agent. If the selected agent isn't available at that time, you'll receive a message asking if you want to reassign anyway or select a different agent.

RentEngine AI Response Transparency

RentEngine AI now shows you exactly where it got its information when formulating a response to a lead. And the best part? You can fix it directly if the information is incorrect.

When you press the "thumbs down" icon on any AI message in the Command Center, we now display the source of that response: prescreening template, unit info, snippets, or other data sources.

Pressing thumbs down on an AI message reveals the source (prescreening template, unit info, snippets) with one-click editing options.

What makes this powerful:

You can one-click edit the source directly. If the AI pulled incorrect information from your prescreening template, click to edit the template immediately. If unit info needs updating, jump straight to that section. Add or modify snippets on the spot.

If you still can't resolve the issue after updating the source, you can report it to the team for further investigation.

Instead of wondering where the AI got its information, you see the exact source and can correct it in seconds, improving AI accuracy over time as you refine your templates and property information.

Multifamily Contract Management

You can now specify if your multifamily buildings use paid contracts with Zillow or Apartments.com.

This ensures more consistent syndication handling, preventing syndication errors and ensuring your multifamily buildings distribute to the correct networks with the appropriate contract terms.

Team & Showing Agent Updates

Easy Invitation Resends

Resend team invitations with one click from the team settings page.

Where to find it: Settings > Team > Resend invitation button next to their name

Showing Agent Property Access

The Showing Agent role can now view the Properties tab in read-only mode. This lets showing agents access the agent scheduling link and property link without being able to edit property information.

For a complete guide on user roles and what each can access, check out our support article on assigning user roles and permissions.

Intelligence & Automation Updates

Off Market Date Column

The Property Performance report in the Intelligence tab now includes an off market date column, helping you track when properties were removed from the market alongside other performance metrics. This is useful for understanding the complete lifecycle of each property listing.

Where to find it: Intelligence tab > Property Performance report

Fee and Pet Calculations

We've improved how RentEngine AI calculates fees, rental requirements, and pet policies, making responses more accurate when prospects ask about additional costs or pet-related questions.

Better Multifamily Auto-Matching

We improved the multifamily auto-matching algorithm to more accurately match new units to their parent multifamily property, reducing manual corrections needed during property setup. This is particularly helpful when importing or adding multiple units to existing buildings.
