We recently introduced agent-level calendar visibility to help property managers understand when their team members are available for showings. This week, we're extending that same transparency to the unit level, plus launching several other features designed to give you more control and visibility across your operations.

Here's what's new in RentEngine.

Unit Availability Calendar View

Leasing teams frequently run into scenarios where they're unsure why a unit isn't showing availability, or whether their agents will be free for upcoming showings. The new Unit Availability view solves this by providing a complete picture of when each unit is available for showings and the specific reasons when it's not.

This feature consolidates all the factors that affect unit availability into a single view: connected calendars, block times, lead time requirements, drive time between showings, and more. Instead of cross-referencing multiple calendars and schedules, you get one clear answer.

  • Green indicates available time slots

  • Blue shows times when showings are already scheduled (you can click directly into these to view details)

  • Red highlights unavailable slots and displays the specific reason—whether it's a calendar conflict, insufficient lead time, or another blocking factor

How to access it: Navigate to any property with Accompanied showings enabled, open the Showings page in the property editing flow, and scroll down to view Unit Availability.

Email Log for Communication Transparency

RentEngine now maintains a searchable record of every email sent from your account with attachments included.

The new Email Log lives in your Communication settings and functions like a dedicated inbox for all RentEngine communications. Whether you need to verify what was sent to an owner, retrieve a leasing report from two weeks ago, or review the details of a prospect conversation, everything is accessible in one place.

The log includes a search bar and advanced filtering options, allowing you to narrow results by keyword, email type, recipient, or other parameters. You can also open PDF attachments directly from the log without downloading them first.

This feature reduces the need to dig through your personal inbox or contact support to track down sent communications. You can self-serve directly from the platform.

How to access it: Go to Settings > Communication > Email Log.

The email log was activated two weeks ago, so the log includes all emails sent from that point forward.

Mobile App Enhancements

We've continued building out the mobile app's functionality based on user feedback. This week's updates focus on push notifications and expanded showing management capabilities.

Push Notifications

You'll now receive real-time push notifications for:

  • Showings that are scheduled, confirmed, canceled, or reassigned

  • AI escalations when prospects need human attention

  • Showing reminders to help you stay on schedule

All notifications are fully customizable through the app's settings, so you control what alerts you receive and when.

Enhanced Showing Management

The app now supports several actions that previously required switching to desktop:

  • Reassign showings to different team members directly from your phone

  • Edit showing feedback immediately after appointments

  • Approve or reject pre-screenings without logging into the web platform

These updates give leasing teams more flexibility to manage their workflows from wherever they're working.

RentEngine AI Improvements

We've made several backend improvements to RentEngine AI's performance that enhance how it handles different prospect scenarios:

Improved self-showing pre-training ensures the AI provides more accurate responses and better guidance when prospects are scheduling self-guided tours.

Enhanced escalation messaging now clearly communicates when your team will respond during business hours, setting appropriate expectations for prospects who reach out after hours.

Better handling of unscheduled showing requests ensures prospects receive clear next steps even when immediate scheduling isn't possible due to availability.
