ICYMI: We launched a slate of new multifamily features and updates, including new community settings and defaults, and a dedicated self-guided showing flow โ Product Updates: Multifamily Leasing
Product Updates: Week 32
This week's biggest release lets you translate up to 12 languages to English, right in the Command Center. A translate link appears the first time a prospect message arrives in another language, and after one click the rest of that conversation keeps translating itself automatically.
Plus, prospects on a self-guided tour can now instantly tour a second unit in the same building without repeating the booking or prescreening process.
Here's what's new in RentEngine.
Instantly translate messages into English
You can now translate 12 languages to English, right in the Command Center. When a message arrives in a language other than English, a "Translate to English" button now appears in the thread.
Replying back offers a matching "Translate to [language]" button that opens a second box for the translated version before you send it.
Click it once per conversation and every message translates automatically from then on. It covers Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Thai, and Greek on Chrome and Edge, with a shorter list on Firefox and Safari.
The translation runs inside your browser. Messages are never sent to Google Translate, ChatGPT, or any outside service, which matters because these are real prospect conversations with real personal details in them. Because it runs locally, there is no per-message cost.
Disclaimer: Inline translation is meant to help your team understand what a prospect is asking, not as a reliable basis for anything consequential, such as lease terms, pricing, or legal matters.
Instantly cross-sell during a self-guided showing
Prospects on a self-guided tour can now instantly tour a second unit in the same multifamily community without repeating the booking process.
Because the prospect is already on-site and prescreened, the second tour skips prescreening. The rest of your rules still apply to the new unit: it has to be in the same building, set up for self-guided tours, and available, and where a unit needs property manager approval or an application first (or is flagged for fraud) those checks still run before the tour opens.
For a prospect standing in a building with three vacancies, that means one visit can turn into three units seen, without them dropping off to rebook each one.

See exactly when a property became available for showings
The Property Performance report in Intelligence now includes an "Available Since" column, showing the date a property last became available for showings. Now, if a property goes on hold and later becomes available again, that date updates to reflect the most recent switch back to Available.
Owner Report PDFs now also show the same date as a subtitle line under the report date. This gives property managers and owners a clear answer to "how long has this actually been available to rent," separate from list price history or on-hold periods.
Where to find it: Intelligence > Property Performance report > Available Since column. Also appears on Owner Report PDFs, under the report date.

Showing instructions now update automatically when a showing method changes
Prospects now get a text with updated instructions whenever you change a unit's showing method for showings that are already scheduled. Once you confirm the popup, the new instructions go out immediately.
A prospect switched from accompanied to self-guided receives their self-guided access details, and a prospect switched the other way receives their confirmation and agent details, without anyone re-sending anything by hand.
Where to find it: Unit Settings > Showing Method, then confirm the change for existing showings. The text option appears in the "Update Scheduled Showings?" popup, checked by default.

Rental applications
Better de-duplication for pets, vehicles, and other occupants
Co-applicants can now see what the lead applicant already submitted for pets, vehicles, and other occupants as they fill out their own section, and can add more if something is missing.
Where to find it: Rental Application > Pets, Vehicles, or Other Occupants section

Property managers can correct a submitted housing history address
Property managers can now edit the address in an applicant's submitted housing history, so a typo or a wrong entry can be fixed without asking the applicant to resubmit their whole application. Every edit is recorded in the audit log, so there is a clear record of what changed and who changed it.
Where to find it: Application > Housing History section > edit the address.
AI Live Transfer destination now shows in the Calls report
The Calls report in Intelligence now includes a column that shows the phone number AI calls were transferred to. This makes it easy to see at a glance which calls were transferred, and where they went.
Where to find it: Intelligence > Calls report, in the new column at the end.
