Product Updates: Week 1
We're kicking off 2026 with some important compliance updates and feature improvements to help you start the leasing season strong.
This week we've updated our syndication feeds to meet new rent transparency requirements in Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. We've also made improvements to the Intelligence tab, brought more Command Center features to mobile, and expanded your listing customization options.
Here's what's new in RentEngine.
Rent Transparency Compliance
Colorado, Connecticut, and Massachusetts now require increased rent transparency, meaning the advertised price must reflect all mandatory monthly fees, not just base rent.
We've automatically updated all your syndication feeds to comply with these new requirements. Your listings on the Apartments.com network, Zillow, and other networks now display the total monthly price including mandatory fees for properties in these states, with no action needed on your end.
Zillow and the Apartments.com network are also rolling out a new "Total Price" badge. Instead of showing base rent, listings will display the complete monthly cost upfront, meeting regulatory requirements and giving prospects accurate pricing from the start.
Intelligence Report Improvements
We've made two updates to the Intelligence tab based on popular requests:
"Canceled By" Column
The Showings report now includes a "Canceled By" column, showing whether showings were cancelled by your team or by the prospect. This helps you identify patterns, like whether specific agents are cancelling frequently.
Reorder Columns
You can now reorder columns in Intelligence reports by dragging and dropping them. Customize the view to prioritize the metrics that matter most to your workflow.
Where to find it: Navigate to the Showings tab on the Intelligence page.

Listing Customization Updates
We've expanded your control over how listings appear and what information syndicates to listing sites:
New Lease Length Options
Added new functionality to the minimum lease length, including "Contact for details" (this also publishes to Zillow and PMW feeds)
Support for 1-24 month lease terms
Support for 11.5 month leases
These additions give you more flexibility in how you advertise lease terms.
Instant Tour Toggle
You can now turn off Instant Tour at the individual unit level. If you have specific properties where you don't want prospects booking immediate showings, you can disable this feature while keeping it active elsewhere.
Where to find it: Property editing flow > Unit settings

Utilities Display
When no utilities are included in rent, your public listing pages now display "None" instead of leaving the field blank.
Mobile App Updates
Archive, snooze, and reminder features are now available in the mobile app's Command Center, matching the functionality available on desktop.
You can now:
Archive prospects who aren't moving forward
Snooze prospects to hide them temporarily and resurface them later
Set follow-up reminders directly from your phone
These features give you full prospect management capabilities on the go, ensuring you can stay on top of your pipeline from anywhere.
Note: The Notes & Follow-ups system and snoozing functionality gives you a convenient way to log notes and manage prospect communication. Check out our complete guides on follow-ups and snoozing contacts for best practices.
Improved Voicemail Notifications
We've improved how voicemail notifications work. You'll now receive email notifications immediately after a prospect leaves a voicemail, ensuring faster response times for after-hours inquiries.
As always, if you have questions about any of these features, reach out to your account manager or contact us through the chat.
